Committees

Our committees and service teams play an important role in supporting veterans, strengthening our Legion Family, and serving the community. Whether you want to honor those who served, build new connections, or help shape the future of Post 127, there are opportunities to make a difference.

Honor Guard

The Post 127 Honor Guard proudly honors our nation's veterans through military funeral honors, flag retirement ceremonies, and other patriotic observances. With dignity, respect, and a commitment to service, these members help preserve The American Legion's traditions and values.

Interested in joining the Honor Guard or requesting ceremonial support? Please reach out to honor.guard@legion127.org.

40s & Under Committee

The 40s & Under Committee brings together younger members of the American Legion Family to strengthen connections, encourage involvement, and help shape Post 127's future.

Through community service, social activities, recruitment initiatives, and leadership opportunities, the committee brings fresh perspectives and new ideas to the Post while building on the traditions that make our Legion Family strong.

Interested in participating or sharing an idea? Please fill out the 40s & Under Committee Interest Form. We'd love to hear from you!

Social Media Committee

Every event, volunteer effort, and act of service tells a story worth sharing.

The Post 127 Social Media Committee helps bring those stories to life by showcasing our veterans, celebrating the Legion Family, and promoting the programs and activities that connect us with our community.

Through photography, video, graphic design, event promotion, and social media outreach, the committee strengthens our Post's visibility, encourages participation, and helps more people discover what The American Legion is all about.

For more information or to find out how to participate, please reach out to socialmedia@legion127.org.
